Tug Gokaydin is also known as “Dr. Tug”. He is the founder, president and CEO of Management Sciences Corporation (MSC). In this role, he directs MSC’s strategy and business development, heads its technology management consulting and training areas, and serves as one of its primary training instructors.
Dr. Tug brings a wealth of practical business knowledge as well as substantial teaching experience to the MSC classroom. For more than 11 years, he has been an associate professor for University of Phoenix and DeVry University.

Before launching MSC, Dr. Tug worked with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) for more than 17 years in various strategic senior management positions in the information systems consulting and outsourcing area. There, he was instrumental in the deployment of new technology for corporations such as Raytheon, Hughes Aircraft Company, DIRECTV, Pratt & Whitney, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and Ascension Health (Carondelet Health and Columbia St. Mary’s), as well as the University of Pennsylvania Health System and the U.S. Air Force.
Dr. Tug holds a doctorate in organization and management, with an emphasis in technology, from Capella University. He also holds an MBA from University of Phoenix and a bachelor’s degree in political science from New England College. He earned a project management certificate from the University of California, Irvine, and a graduate level certificate in information systems management from USC.
Dr. Tug holds several professional certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and ISACA (an international IT governance, security and audit association), including: Project Management Professional (PMP®), Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Information Security Manager (CISM). He is also a University of Phoenix Certified Advanced Facilitator.
He is the published author of a research study entitled Certified versus Non-Certified Project Managers . The study compares the outcomes of projects managed by each, using data from a global Fortune 500 IT company.
